NEW SOUTH WALES | 2001

This was a project I made as part of my Documentary Photography degree, studying under Paul Seawright at the University of Wales, Newport. It was a fairly minor 3rd-year project if I remember right. The images were made around Cardiff, looking at ex-industrial sites that had been covered over and rebuilt as business, residential and retail centres. As such these spaces represented the economic and social changes that South Wales was undergoing in that period. It's a project that I could have developed further but time and study (and money) didn't really allow me to.

These were darkroom prints, selenium toned, mounted in a flip book,  placed inside a home-made case.
